The December 16, 2019 Quarterly General Meeting was called to order by President Jim Patton at 6:00 p.m. Board members present: President-Elect Jim Patton, Secretary Nancy Patton, Treasurer Bruce Caverly, Membership Director Bob Cunningham, Fundraising Director Olivia Kucharzyk, Communications Director Mike Stockton and Past President Ruth Caverly. Guests present: Chief Ricky Middleton and Garland County Judge Meredith Switzer. Total number of members present including board members was 48.
Following the Pledge, President Jim Patton thanked all the members in attendance. He introduced the board and asked Lieutenant Vaughn to introduce our guest speaker for the evening, Garland County Judge Meredith Switzer who gave a very interesting and informative presentation on the court system.
Board Member Reports:
President: Jim Patton thanked all the members in attendance. Jim Patton reported we received a grant from the Rotary Club for the purchase of 20 flashlights.
Treasurer: Bruce Caverly reported that for December the income for the month of November was $2,079.44. Expenses for the same period were $800. Restricted fund total $532.15, leaving Net Operating Funds of $21500.50
Membership: Bob Cunningham reported that we have 162 paid memberships and of those 49 are lifetime members. there were 9 renewals in November and 23 still remain unpaid.
Fundraising: Olivia Kucharzyk reported that the Cork and Bottle event on December 12 raised $195.00. For the Dinner Theater Event we had 23 paid reservations and received $115. The 2020 Golf Outing is scheduled for May 15. Plans are underway for the Challenge the Chief Milo event.
Door prizes were handed out and the 50/50 drawing was won by Cindy Hagen. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm.
