Founded by Citizens Police Academy graduates, the Association's mission is 1) to support the efforts of the HSV Police Department, 2) to supplement the financial resources of the HSVPD and 3) to improve the safety of officers & residents.
Membership is open to any resident of Hot Springs Village who has completed the Citizens Police Academy.
Meetings of the general membership are held quarterly, and feature guest speakers associated with law enforcement from around the area. Each meeting includes a question-and-answer session and refreshments.
The CPAAA is governed by a board elected by its members, which consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past President, and one to four at-large directors.
Hot Springs Village Police Chief, Kristi Bennett, is an advisor to the board. Various committees support the work of the board, and include fundraising, events, volunteers, and nominations.
More information about the structure of the board can be found in the bylaws.
